Description: |
Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) (the “Owner”) intends to pre-qualify Contractors interested in acting as General Contractor for the “Belfountain Phase I” project (the “Project”), which involves the lowering and stabilization of an existing dam, and construction of the associated new natural channel and heritage gardens at Belfountain Conservation Area, located at 10 Credit Street, Belfountain, Ontario. Only firms that have been pre-qualified by CVC will be invited to submit a bid for this Project. The Belfountain Phase I project involves the lowering and stabilization of the historic Belfountain dam to make it safe, and creation of a new naturalized channel for the West Credit River through the environmentally degraded headpond. Additionally, CVC aims to create a new flood-resilient public realm that includes boardwalks, trails, a pedestrian bridge, and to restore and interpret Mack’s Park heritage-designated features. Phase I is the implementation of the first half of Belfountain Conservation Area’s new management plan. |
