This project is to construct a new toe drain while keeping the existing toe drain in place. To ensure the dam’s drainage, stability, and safety, this action is necessary because the original toe drain has become less effective over the dam's lifespan. The reason for installing a new drain rather than replacing the current drain is to improve the factors listed and to minimize disturbance to the structure of the dam as much as possible. It will also provide some additional erosion protection to the relief well outlets.  

The project site is located within the Town of Orangeville at Credit Valley Conversation Authority’s Island Lake Conservation Area, located along Highway 10.
